Poème 5. The Past and a Symphony in the Night.

For Mary E. A.

To what I was
to all the dreams that made me survive
and tell me there how can I know I’m still alive
To some eyes where I found
when I was feeling the taste of the ground
moments fugaces, quelque souffle et quelque répit

The World seen through the eyes of Insanity
Human, too Human, prisoner of Me Humanity
Would I be allowed, Lord, to pray in Dis-harmony
Put daggers in Me heart – wandering soul
Who am I talking to, who am I trying to fool
The Silence at Me door
Some Pierced Books on the floor
no exception made for the Holy
Will the Past be an Eternal Night of Agony
I wanted to be, God, part of some Symphony
Would I be able to Pray – and for who, and for whom
And what do I want to build,
a Temple to save my Humanity,
shall I say ?
If the Gods and my Spirit allow me, If I may
